Debut Ironman win for GREEPER Laces

GREEPER Laces made thier debut elite triatlon performance at Ironman Lanzarote courtesy of Catriona Morrison who won the event! Cat even had to wait roadside for over half an hour for mechanical support team during the bike leg but came back to claim the top spot. Many congratualtions to Cat! After the race Cat sent me a note saying "the laces worked a treat!"

This weekend Chrissie Wellington competes in the Blazeman 70.3 Triathlon in Kanzas.

Triple Ironman World Champion Chrissie Wellington has recently teamed up with GREEPERS Ltd in the UK and is now using GREEPER Sports Laces in her Brooks running shoes. Chrissie says “GREEPER Laces are easy, fast and give me support exactly where I need it!”

GREEPER Laces, invented by entrepreneur Peter Greedy, are a patented lacing system that enables quick and easy release and fastening of the laces. The laces are made with highest quality 100% polyester laces (exactly the same as those supplied by the shoe manufacturers) and are not elastic. This is important for athletes: Edinburgh Sports Podiatrist Jacqui Baggaley notes “the use of regular non elastic laces ensures optimum shoe support for the feet during exercise and reduces the chance of injury”.

An important aspect of Chrissie’s partnership with GREEPERS is that a portion of all proceeds from product sales is donated to various charities, jointly agreed by Peter and Chrissie.

Following her injury during winter training Chrissie recently announced that she will be defending her 2009 crown at Challenge Roth on July 18 where GREEPERS will have a stand at the expo. GREEPERS are also producing a unique “Chrissie” version of the Sport laces that will bear Chrissie’s motto “Live It, Love It” – along with a Chrissie smile! When asked about the motto Chrissie said “anything is possible if you live and love life to the full!”

Charity Laces for Charity Races

GREEPERS is now working with several charities to develop charity laces. The GREEPER Laces lend themselves very well to customisation and branding - choose your colour for the laces and the toggle, and we can print or embroider brand names and logos on the pull tab of the toggle.

TCR Weekend

TCR Show this weekend! Busy preparing everything for the stand. Hoping to have a good run on sales and do some networking with retailers in triathlon and running. Chrissie Wellington going to be there for the whole Expo as one of the star guests and will be wearing GREEPER Laces the whole time! Very excited!
